New Hampshire Governor John Lynch has signed a bill creating the office of "Director of Broadband Technology Planning and Development" funded by federal stimulus appropriations, to explore ways to bring high speed internet service to rural areas of the state as a replacement for the dial up internet access which is the sole connection available to most residents of those locales.
